‎Manchester United confident Viktor Gyokeres transfer from Sporting is a 'done deal'

‎Manchester United are confident that they have sealed a deal to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The Swedish international has been a long-term target for the Red Devils, and club insiders now believe that the move is effectively a “done deal.”

‎United, under manager Rúben Amorim, are seeking to overhaul their attacking options following a disappointing Premier League campaign. Current centre-forwards Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled to deliver consistent performances, prompting a strategic focus on bolstering the front line.
‎Gyokeres, who has enjoyed a sensational debut season with Sporting CP, fits the profile United are after. In Liga Portugal alone, the former Coventry City striker has netted 34 goals and provided 7 assists across 29 appearances. His performances in the Champions League have also been impressive, with 6 goals in 8 appearances, highlighting his capability at the highest level.
‎Rúben Amorim’s prior experience managing Gyokeres at Sporting has reportedly accelerated negotiations, with sources confirming that United have been working diligently behind the scenes to reach an agreement. The striker’s strong physicality, goal-scoring instinct, and adaptability make him a natural fit for the Premier League.
‎In addition to Gyokeres, Manchester United are pursuing other forward options. Talks are scheduled this week with Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian international has a £62.5 million release clause, and United are eager to secure his services swiftly.
‎Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap and Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta are also under consideration as alternative attacking reinforcements. With the summer window fast approaching, Manchester United appear poised to undergo a significant reshaping of their attacking unit.
‎As the club prepares to bounce back from one of its most underwhelming domestic seasons in recent memory, securing Gyokeres would mark a bold step forward in Amorim’s rebuild at Old Trafford. SA
